🎭 Events & Lineup

VibesNearby Live lets you create multi-artist events, manage a full lineup with roles and set times, accept or decline lineup requests from artists, and control everything live from your dashboard.

Creating an event

Go to Promoter Dashboard → Create Event

Available at vibesnearby.live/promoter-dashboard.php. Artists can also create events from their regular dashboard.

Fill in the event details

Title, date, start and end time, venue (from the dropdown), genre, age restriction, cover image URL, and livestream URL. Cover image appears on the event card and share card.

Choose your stream mode

Single Stream, Artist Queue (auto-switch), or Multi-Stage. See the Stream Modes guide for full details.

Enable what you need

Check the boxes for Tips, Song Requests, Lineup Requests, and Ticket Sales. All are on by default except tickets.

Click Publish Event

The event goes live immediately and appears on the public Events calendar.

Managing your lineup

Once an event is created you manage the lineup from Promoter Dashboard → Lineup Requests.

  • Artists request to join — logged-in artists can send a lineup request from the event page. They choose their role (Supporting, Opener, Co-Headliner) and add a note.
  • You receive a notification — visible in your dashboard immediately.
  • Review and decide — you can change their role before approving. Click ✅ Add to Lineup or ❌ Decline.
  • Confirmed artists appear on the event page — with their photo, role badge, set time, and rating.

Setting set times

Each confirmed artist on the bill has a set time and duration. For Queue mode this is what the auto-switcher uses to know when to switch streams. Set times are visible to fans on the event page so they know when to tune in.

Per-event toggles

From Promoter Dashboard → My Events you can toggle on or off at any time:

  • Lineup Requests — turn off once the lineup is locked
  • Tips — enable/disable tips for the event
  • Song Requests — enable/disable the request queue
  • Ticket Sales — enable/disable ticket purchasing
💡 Tip: Turn off Lineup Requests about a week before the show once your bill is set. This stops new requests coming in and signals to fans that the lineup is final.

Going live on the day

When the show starts, click 🔴 Go Live on the event from your dashboard. This moves your event to "Happening Now" on the public events calendar and activates the live badge on all event cards.

⚠️ Remember: Click ⏹ End after the show, or the cleanup cron will auto-complete it 2 hours after your end time.
